Finding Balance: A Self-Care Workshop for Advocates

  • Brighton Light House 142 Brighton Lake Road Brighton, MI, 48116 United States (map)

Advocating for the safety and well-being of a community is important, but it can also be exhausting. We are so very grateful for all of those who work to make our community a safe and welcoming place for all. Thus, we have curated a special event that will offer self-care strategies for allies, advocates and activists.

Join us in person at the beautiful and serene Brighton Light House for this half-day workshop as we find the balance in community and self-care. Our journey will include discussions on mindfulness, navigating what we need for ourselves and what we feel drawn to do for others and when to seek out support. We will also learn practical ways to give our bodies and minds the restorative rest that we need to keep doing the good work and most importantly, we will connect with each other to establish a community of allies so that we can lean on one another and do better together.

Breakfast will be provided by Captain’s on Main and 2 Dandelions Bookshop will be onsite with a pop-up shop to provide guests with resources to help us find the balance that we all need.

Registration is just $20! To learn more & reserve your spot, click here
