How do you talk to your “little” ones about the “BIG” issues? It can actually be pretty simple…have fun and learn with them! Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Use a globe or world atlas and take turns picking new places to explore with your eyes closed. Then look up the country to learn cool, new facts together!
Pick a few countries and make a special recipe - perhaps start with dessert if you have picky eaters.
Learn key phrases from different languages like hello, how are you, I love you and goodbye and then test it out with your extended family and friends.
Involve your whole body! Listen to the traditional music from a different culture and make your own dance. Then search for videos of their traditional dance and talk about the similarities and differences.
